Perfect for a family-friendly day out. A picturesque gem that is nestled between the sprawling cities of Pretoria and Johannesburg, a visit to this old-style, storybook, working farm in the city is a must! On-site restaurants, a fully stocked farm shop, walking trails and the opportunity to get up close and personal with the herd, are just some of the highlights you will experience. With gorgeous gardens (even during the winter months), a wooden jungle gym and tractors around every corner, you can relax under the old oak trees whilst the little ones entertain themselves. In 2018, Irene Country Lodge became part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection®, offering an Authentic Farm experience unlike any other. Nestled on a working dairy farm dating back to 1895, the lodge blends modern elegance with historic charm. Guests enjoy luxurious comfort surrounded by lush gardens, over 3,000 trees, and 1,200 roses. Historic farm buildings remain in use, and iconic figures like Queen Elizabeth and General Smuts once walked these grounds. Every stay is a five-sense journey—scenic views, curated interiors, farm-fresh scents, birdsong, and gourmet cuisine. It’s a peaceful, soul-filled escape that tells the story of a farm in the city.

• The Breakfast Menu is available from 07h00 - 09h00.
• In-room Dining is not included in your room rate therefore all charges will be applied.
• A tray charge for in-room dining will be applied and charged.
• The All Day Menu is served 24 hours. After 22h00 only light meals are available on this menu.
• To order please press the In-room Dining button on your room phone.
• We guarantee delivery of your In-room Dining order within 40 minutes, unless otherwise advised.

instructions provided by our staff or emergency team.
Do not run and remain calm. Once you have arrived to the
external meeting point you will be informed of what to do next.

Our hotel is equipped with a modern, efficient fire emergency system, which includes a sprinkler system and smoke detectors in guest rooms and hallways. We want to make sure you are prepared to exit. If any of our detection systems sound a warning, familiarize yourself with the following procedures:
Exiting the Hotel
· Take your key.
- Test your door for heat or smoke before opening it.
- If the hallway is clear, exit by the nearest stairwell.
If Your Door Feels Warm or is Impassable
- Place wet towels at the base of the door.
- Press Front Desk, giving your name and room number.
- Turn off your air conditioner or heater to keep smoke from entering the room.
- Get down on the floor to avoid inhaling smoke.
