IRENE COUNTRY LODGE THE HOME OF DEFENDING FIFA WORLD CUP™ CHAMPIONS

Italians are renowned for their good taste and deep appreciation for the finer things in life. It is therefore no surprise that the defending FIFA World Cup™ soccer team chose to spend their time in South Africa in style at Irene Country Lodge.

During the month of June, the national Italian soccer team will be based at Irene Country Lodge, Centurion, during the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup™ 2009. This means that the lodge is fully occupied for the month in order to host the best international team, as well as the support staff that ensures they are in best form.

With six Champions from six continents, 2006 FIFA World Cup™ winner Italy, and the host, South Africa, all competing, this football celebration will be the warm-up for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™. The list of participating nations also includes recent European Champions Spain, USA, Iraq, Brazil, Egypt and the winner of the OFC Nations Cup, New Zealand.
